VA Disability β Dental & Oral
VA disability ratings for TMJ, jaw injuries, oral injuries, and dental conditions resulting from service-related trauma or caused by service-connected conditions.
Dental and oral conditions are ratable under VA disability compensation when they result from service-related injury or are caused by service-connected conditions. TMJ (DC 9904) is among the most commonly compensated β it shares rating criteria with other joint conditions. The VA dental treatment program (separate from disability compensation) provides care to qualifying veterans, with more comprehensive access at higher disability ratings. Veterans with 100% ratings or TDIU receive comprehensive VA dental care.
